The Innovator Mosquito Air is a Canadian helicopter produced by Innovator Technologies of Rockyview, Alberta. The aircraft is supplied as a kit for amateur construction.[1] Design and developmentThe Mosquito Air was designed to comply with the United States FAR 103 Ultralight Vehicles, including the category's maximum empty weight of {{convert|254|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}}. The aircraft has a standard empty weight of {{convert|254|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}}. It features a single main rotor and tail rotor, a single-seat open cockpit without a windshield, skid landing gear and a two-cylinder, air-cooled, two-stroke {{convert|64|hp|kW|0|abbr=on}} Zanzottera MZ 202 engine.[1] The aircraft fuselage is made from bolted-together 6061-T6 aluminium tubing, with a carbon fibre tail boom and support struts. Its two-bladed rotor has a diameter of {{convert|5.5|m|ft|1|abbr=on}} and a chord of {{convert|17|cm|in|1|abbr=on}}. The cyclic control is routed via the centre of the rotor mast and the main rotor transmission is a poly "V" belt. The aircraft has a typical empty weight of {{convert|115|kg|lb|0|abbr=on}} and a gross weight of {{convert|240|kg|lb|0|abbr=on}}, giving a useful load of {{convert|125|kg|lb|0|abbr=on}}. With full fuel of {{convert|19|l}} the payload for the pilot and baggage is {{convert|111|kg|lb|0|abbr=on}}.[1] Reviewer Werner Pfaendler describes the design as "simple, but intelligent and reliable".[1] The Mosquito Air is the basis for the enclosed cockpit Mosquito XE.[1] Specifications (Mosquito Air){{Aircraft specs|ref=Tacke[1] |prime units?=met
