}}Jah Signal is a Zimbabwean singer and songwriter, based in Harare. Born Nicodemus Mutize, JahSignal  grew up in Kuwadzana 3 where he also began his musical career. His stage name was inspired by the Jamaican sensation Busy Signal and God hence Jah Signal.[1] Jah Signal is one of the most promising young talents in the country’s music industry. Armed with a hit album, “Jaya”, and sing-along songs like “Sweetie” (Shinga Muroora), “Yekedero”, “Stonyeni” and “Ndakakumaka” —Jah Signal has created seductive waves that have captured the attention of not only locals but across continents[1]

Life and Music Career

Early life

Jah Signal come from humble beginnings and had a tough childhood growing up. Her mother used to sell recycled paper towels from hotels which she passed off as tissue paper.[2] Fortunately, through his decent earnings, he has stopped his mother from the “humiliating” tissue business. Jah Signal is a strong believer who has always credited his success to God. Jah Signal went to Dzivaresekwa 1 High and Rock Mountain Christian college.[3][2] He started pursuing music in 2011 during his high school days. Having strong roots in Christianity and guided by the Christian college, Jah Signal started in the gospel sector making gospel inclined tracks. As time went by, Nicodemus transformed into a dancehall as he found it easier to express himself through dancehall.[2]

Music career

The lyrically gifted musician made his breakthrough in 2011 when he released the song Honour ladies which appealed to the ears of many.[4] The song bought him a handful of followers. Jah Signal then consolidated his place in the music industry with a couple of hit songs which include Mukwasha Mboko, Yekedero, Sig Aenda, Dhora, Fashion Police, Ebube and Wakavingei.[5] Signal then catapulted his career to a completely new level with his hit song Sweetie which encouraged women to stay strong in marriages. He also collaborated with the award winner Tocky Vibes on the song Wakavingei, Boom Beto, and the talented female chanter Lindsay on a love song.[5] Jah Signal is also well appreciated because of his social messages especially his advocacy for women rights. His song Ebube highlights the value of women, cherishing the beauty of women irrespective of their size.[2][6]

Jah Signal launched his debut Jaya in November 2018 in Kuwadzana and luxurious club Sankayi,[7] and it immediately took the airwave by storm.[8][9] Zimbabwe Tourism Authority CEO Karikoga Kaseke, opened the bartering, buying the CD at $1000. Cheating Controversy

Jah Signal's ex claimed that the performer had relations with 15 ladies in a half year amid the subsistence of their marriage.
