Pin Code of Jahu Village is 176 048 and People of Jahu Village use Hindi Language for communication. Jahu is on a "triple border" of Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Mandi districts.[3] Jahu is the last village of Hamirpur district that connects Hamirpur district to Bilaspur and Mandi districts. EconomyAgriculture is the major economic driver of Jahu, however people are included in manufacturing and various trading businesses as well. Fishing is also an economic driver.[3]The area, nearby citiesThe nearest major city is Sarkaghat.[4] Bhota is {{convert|23|km|mi}} west, and Jahu is {{convert|36|km|mi}} east of Hamipur, and {{convert|131|km|mi}} from Shimla,[5][6] To the north {{convert|103|km|mi}} is Palampur. And {{convert|25|km|mi}} to the east is Rewalsar Lake (see also Rewalsar, India), and {{convert|134|km|mi}} to the west, Hoshiarpur.[5] Jahu Khurd is {{convert|2|km|mi}} south.[5]Also near Jahu is Hamirpur, {{convert|36|km|mi}} west, Sundarnagar at {{convert|37|km|mi}}, Mandi at {{convert|47|km|mi}}, and Nangal at {{convert|111|km|mi}}.[5] Talai is {{convert|57|km|mi}} northwest, Ghumarwin is {{convert|28|km|mi}} south.[5] Jogindernagar is {{convert|76|km|mi}} north.[5] Bilaspur is {{convert|44|km|mi}} southwest, as Pandoh, by Pandoh Dam, is {{convert|65|km|mi}} northeast.[5] Nearby tehsilsSeverals tehsils are near Jahu. To the west is Hamirpur Tehsil, and to the south is Bijhri Tehsil, and to the north are Bamson Tehsil and Dharampur Tehsil.[6] People from JahuKangana Ranaut, a Bollywood actress, did her primary education in Jahu.[7]The AreaJahu is near Gobind Sagar, a reservoir on the Sutlej river, which flows south of town. The Beas Satluj Link Project is northeast, as is Prashar Lake. The confluence of the Sunail Khad and the Seer Khad is just south of Jahu.[8] The Sunail Khad flows west of Jahu. The Seer Khad flows into the Sutlej. The source of the Beas River is just west.
