In 2012, she reported from Homs about the government siege. She also regularly contributes to CBS News and partners with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting.[1] In 2018, she smuggled herself into Yemen to report on the ongoing crisis.[2] Ferguson graduated from Lawrenceville School in the United States then received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from the University of York.[1] Since early 2015, Ferguson has been employed by the PBS NewsHour. For 9 years she has been living in the Middle East.
