She is a member of the Democratic Party.[1] BiographyJordan received her bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and her JD from the University of Georgia School of Law.[1] After receiving her law degree, she worked as a federal clerk for judge Anthony A. Alaimo of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.[2] On December 5, 2017, she defeated fellow Democrat Jaha Howard in a runoff election for the Georgia State Senate's 6th district. Her victory in this election ended what had been a Republican supermajority in the State Senate.[3][4] Personal lifeJordan is originally from South Georgia, coming to the Atlanta area for her law practice.
