{{distinguish|Joan Hackett}}Jo Ann Hackett is an American Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew scholar. She is Professor of Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.^[1]

Hackett studied at DePauw University, Indiana University, and Harvard University. She previously taught at Occidental College, Indiana University, and Harvard.

In 2015, a Festschrift was published in her honor. Epigraphy, Philology, and the Hebrew Bible: Methodological Perspectives on Philological and Comparative Study of the Hebrew Bible in Honor of Jo Ann Hackett included contributions from Gary A. Rendsburg and F. W. Dobbs-Allsopp.
