History

Jobvite, Inc., which has its headquarters in San Mateo, California,[1] was established in 2006 by Jesper Schultz and Hans Larsen.[2] In December 2007 the company raised $7.2 million in venture funding with CMEA Ventures, which brought it into the spotlight.[3] In July 2008, [https://www.linkedin.com/in/danfinnigan/ Dan Finnigan], formerly of Yahoo! and HotJobs, was appointed as the CEO of the company.[4] Finnigan immediately hired two former colleagues from Yahoo, engineering senior director [https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamhyder/ Adam Hyde]r as chief technology officer, and marketing officer [https://www.linkedin.com/in/timglambert/ Tim Lambert] as chief revenue officer.[3]Forbes later ranked them at #50 on their "America's Most Promising Companies List".[2]

In September 2010 Jobvite formed a partnership with SuccessFactors, which increased their userbase by a further 8 million plus users from the BizX Suite network. Four years later, in October 2014, Jobvite announced that it had received $25 million in investment from New York City-based growth equity firm Catalyst Investors. They joined Trident Capital, CMEA Capital, and ATA Ventures as one of the firm’s chief investors. Investment in the company amounted to over $55 million at the time.[5]

In August 2015, the company launched operations in London, England.[6] On May 17–18, 2016 the firm will hold its 8th annual Customer Conference in San Francisco, and will feature a keynote speech from marketing specialist Guy Kawasaki.[7]
