The 29th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

Service

The 29th Wisconsin was organized at Madison, Wisconsin and mustered into Federal service September 27, 1862.

The regiment was mustered out on June 22, 1865, at Shreveport, Louisiana.

Casualties

The 29th Wisconsin suffered 1 officer and 76 enlisted men killed in action or who later died of their wounds, plus another 3 officers and 242 enlisted men who died of disease, for a total of 322 fatalities.
