Early and personal lifeLewis was born in Plantation, Florida,[1] and attended South Plantation High School.[1] His mother is from London.[4] He is also of Jamaican descent.[1] Club careerAfter playing in the United States with the Chicago Fire academy, Plantation FC and Kendall SC,[1][2] and in England with the RIASA Academy, Lewis signed a two-year professional contract with Bradford City in July 2015.[3] He had also trained with a number of other English clubs.[4] He signed on loan for Farsley Celtic in September 2015,[4] making his debut for them the next day.[5] After two appearances for Farsley Celtic, one in the league and one in the FA Trophy,[6] Lewis left Bradford City in October 2015 by mutual consent, citing homesickness.[7][8] Upon returning to the United States, he played college soccer with the Akron Zips,[9] winning the 2016 Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year award.[10] In January 2017 he was drafted by New York City.[11] Lewis made his professional debut on March 18, 2017, appearing as a 79th-minute substitute in a 1–1 draw with Montreal Impact.[12] In September 2018 he moved on loan to Louisville City FC.[13] International careerHe is a member of the United States under-20 national team,[14] and was invited to a training camp run by the Jamaican senior team.[10] Lewis won the 2017 CONCACAF U-20 Championship with United States U20,[15] scoring a goal and assisting another in a 4–1 group stage win against Saint Kitts and Nevis U20.[16] He made his senior international debut for the United States on January 27, 2019, in a 3-0 friendly win against Panama.[17] Playing styleHe has been compared to Nahki Wells, who also signed for Bradford City after playing with RIASA.[18] Career statisticsClub{{updated|October 15, 2018}}
