Lorigo (born November 18, 1981) is an American politician who serves as a member of the Erie County, New York Legislature from the 10th district, which encompasses the towns of Aurora, Colden, Elma, Holland, Marilla, Wales, West Seneca, and the village of East Aurora[1]. Early careerPrior to serving in the Legislature, Lorigo worked as a court clerk in his hometown of West Seneca[2]. In 2011, he unsuccessfully ran for West Seneca Town Justice as a Republican[3]. He had also worked for the Erie County Attorney's Office and for the Attorney General of New York[4]. LegislatureLorigo successfully ran for the Erie County Legislature in 2011 against incumbent Legislator Christina Wleklinski Bove and won with 55% of the vote[5]. He ran for re-election in 2013, 2015 and 2017. In 2013, Lorigo prevailed with 63% of the vote[6]. In 2015, he was unopposed[7]. In 2017, he again prevailed with 55% of the vote[8]. From 2014 until 2017, Legislator Lorigo served as Majority Leader of the Legislature[9]. Since January 2018, Lorigo has served as Minority Leader[10].
