Also was Sub Rector for Academic Affairs and a member of the University Council. Exercised the profession of teacher in the High School State Estelita Tapajós, where he taught History. He also taught at the former Federal Technical School of Amazonas. Your role as a professor at the University of Amazonas, took was between 1970 and 1984. He assumed the position of governor of the state of Amazonas by the Republican Party of the Social Order, when Omar Aziz was the dispute for the Senate in 2014 general elections.
