He utilized his retirement corpus to buy a one-bedroom apartment in Jaipur so his son could learn to play cricket. Nagarkoti's childhood coach was Surendra Singh Rathod.[5] In December 2017, he was named in India's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[6] In January 2018, he was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2018 IPL auction for ₹3.2 crores.[7][8]. However, he did not play a match due to injury concerns. Despite that, he was retained for the next season. Just ahead of the 2019 Indian Premier League he was again ruled out of the tournament due to injury.[9] References1. ^Snehal Pradhan (15 January 2018), [https://scroll.in/field/865105/three-young-pacers-bowled-at-140-kph-in-an-india-australia-match-only-one-was-australian "Three young pacers bowled at 140+ kph in an India-Australia match – only one was Australian"], Scroll.in.
