Translation rights have been sold in 25 languages. BiographyKaren Dionne was born in 1953 in Akron, Ohio and moved to the Detroit area with her family at the age of eight. She graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1971 and attended the University of Michigan. Dionne co-founded the online writers organization called Backspace.[2] She reviewed for The New York Journal of Books[3] and blogs at the Huffington Post.[4] Her other publications include the novels Freezing Point (2008),[5] Boiling Point (2011),[6] and The Marsh King's Daughter (June 2017).[7] Her short story "Calling the Shots" was published in the anthology, First Thrills: High-Octane Stories from the Hottest Thriller Authors (2010). Her environmental thriller Freezing Point was nominated by RT Book Reviews as Best First Mystery of 2008.[8] Dionne's 2014 novel The Killing: Uncommon Denominator was nominated for the International Association of Media Tie-In Writers's SCRIBE Award in 2015.[9] Dionne's articles and essays have appeared in Writer's Digest Magazine,[10] RT Book Reviews,[11] and Writer's Digest Books.
