释义 |
Kheriga was son of Harpagus (Arppakhu in Lycian).[3][4] Arbinas was the son of Kheriga.[5][4] Kheriga was ruler of Lycia at the time when Lycia was an ally of Athens in the Delian League. As the power of Athens weakened and Athens and Sparta fought the Peloponnesian wars (431–404 BC), the majority of Lycian cities defaulted from the Delian League, with the exception of Telmessos and Phaselis. In 429 BC, Athens sent an expedition against Lycia to try to force it to rejoin the League. This failed when Lycia's leader Kheriga (Gergis) defeated Athenian general Melesander.[6][7] The encounter is described in the inscription on the Xanthian Obelisk.[8] References1. ^1 {{cite book |last1=Keen |first1=Antony G. |title=Dynastic Lycia: A Political of History of the Lycians and Their Relations with Foreign Powers : C. 545-362 B.C. |date=1998 |publisher=BRILL |isbn=9004109560 |page=130 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=4Ig4KJySudYC&pg=PA130 |language=en}} {{Achaemenid rulers}}2. ^{{cite book |last1=Long |first1=Charlotte R. |title=The Twelve Gods of Greece and Rome |date=1987 |publisher=Brill Archive |isbn=9004077162 |page=145 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=3dUUAAAAIAAJ&pg=PA145 |language=en}} 3. ^{{cite book |last1=Keen |first1=Antony G. |title=Dynastic Lycia: A Political of History of the Lycians and Their Relations with Foreign Powers : C. 545-362 B.C. |date=1998 |publisher=BRILL |isbn=9004109560 |page=117 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=4Ig4KJySudYC&pg=PA117 |language=en}} 4. ^1 {{cite book |last1=Rhodes |first1=Peter John |last2=Osborne |first2=Robin |last3=Osborne |first3=University Lecturer in Ancient History and Fellow and Tutor Robin |title=Greek Historical Inscriptions: 404-323 BC |date=2003 |publisher=Oxford University Press |isbn=9780198153139 |pages=61-62 |url=https://books.google.com/books?id=3iMTDAAAQBAJ&pg=PA61 |language=en}} 5. ^{{cite book |last1=Childs |first1=William A.
