It is the smallest in Kia's SUV lineup, below the Niro, Sportage, and Sorento. The Stonic shares its platform and interior with the fourth generation Kia Rio.[2][3] The Stonic is offered with a choice of four engines: a turbocharged 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine, a 1.2 liter four-cylinder engine, a 1.4 liter four-cylinder engine, and a 1.6 liter CRDi four cylinder diesel engine; the latter being the sole offering in the South Korean market.[6] Personalization is a key factor in the Stonic's development, thus it will be offered with 20 different two-tone color combinations, including five different roof colors.[6] {{clear-left}}Safety
