She is currently a full professor at the University of Waikato.[1] Academic careerAfter a PhD at Imperial College London, Pickering started working at the University of Waikato in 1994 and rose to full professor in 2014.[2] Much of Pickering's research involves 3D printing[3] of "recyclable, biodegradable and bio-derived composite materials"[4][5] and she has been a major proponent of recycling.[6] In 2017 she won the Scott Medal from the Royal Society of New Zealand.[7][8] Selected works
