}}Kristian Hegner Reinau is a Danish associate professor in traffic and transportation at Aalborg University.[1] His research has focused on the use of big data in order to optimise goods transportation. This research has a commercial aim which concerns future business possibilities within the transportation sector. At the same time, Kristian Hegner Reinau’s research is useful to society in general as improvements in goods transportation are vital for the successful reduction in CO2 emissions.[2] Kristian Hegner Reinau’s study based on data from a new public transportation ticket system is an example of his research. EducationKristian Hegner Reinau graduated from Aalborg University in 2006 with an MA in geography with specialisation in Spatial Information Management.
