Kōzaburō Tachibana ({{lang|ja|橘 孝三郎}} {{transl|ja|Tachibana Kōzaburō}}, 1893–1974) was a Japanese political activist and ultranationalist. Tachibana came from a samurai family, although his father was a fabric merchant.[1] His politics were agrarian[2] and anti-capitalist.[3] He argued that radical, violent change was needed to cleanse ‘the world of national politics...poisoned by mammon and the gang of corrupt industrialists’.[4] He was involved in the assassination of Prime Minister Inukai Tsuyoshi during the May 15 Incident[5] and was sentenced to life imprisonment,[6] serving eight years.[3] References1. ^{{cite book|title=The American Asian Review|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=W24MAQAAMAAJ|year=1988|publisher=Institute of Asian Studies, St. John's University|page=18}} {{DEFAULTSORT:Kozaburō Tachibana}}{{Japan-bio-stub}}2. ^{{cite book|title=Sources of Japanese Tradition, Abridged: Part 2: 1868 to 2000|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=DsALRa-r5QoC&pg=PA269|date=13 August 2013|publisher=Columbia University Press|isbn=978-0-231-51815-4|pages=269–}} 3. ^1 {{cite book|author1=David Ernest Apter|author2=Nagayo Sawa|title=Against the State: Politics and Social Protest in Japan|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=JRV4oXS5oBAC&pg=PA67|year=1984|publisher=Harvard University Press|isbn=978-0-674-00921-9|pages=67–}} 4. ^Conrad Totman, History of Japan (2000), p.371 5. ^{{cite book|author1=David E.
