Lakra/Lakda (लाकड़ा) is a Jat clan found in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.^[1] Apart from Jats, the Lakra surname is also found in Jharkhand and Odisha amongst tribals. The most popular Lakra so far is Late Sahib Singh Verma, the politician and former CM of Delhi and Cabinet Union Minister. The late minister is from Mundka village on the NH-10 in west Delhi. His son Parvesh Verma is carrying on his legacy and is a serving Member of the Parliament from Outer Delhi. There are more villages associated with Lakra (Jat) surnames like Morkheri near Sampla, Ranhola in Delhi and few more in Rohtak and Sonipat District.
