The Lamkhaga Pass (5,282 m / 17,320 ft) is one of the toughest pass which connects Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh with Harshil in Uttrakhand.[1] The Lamkhaga Pass trek starts from Chitkul the last Village of sangla valley in Himachal, though it can be done from Harshil side also. This trek is a fairly remote trek, which was first crossed by Greek-British author and mountaineer Marco Alexander Pallis in 1933. Pallis was a Greek-British author and mountaineer who was famous for his writings on Tibetan Buddhism. He made a first ascent of Leo Pargial(6790m) in 1933[2]. This pass is located near Indo - Tibetan border and to cross the pass one needs to obtain inner line permit from the district administration of Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh[3] References1. ^{{cite book|last=Kapadia|first=Harish|title=Across Peaks & Passes in Garhwal Himalaya|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=KptmxrqhKl4C&pg=PA201|accessdate=23 July 2016|date=1 January 1999|publisher=Indus Publishing|language=English|isbn=9788173870972|page=201}} {{coord missing|Himachal Pradesh|Uttarakhand}}{{HimachalPradesh-geo-stub}}{{Uttarakhand-geo-stub}}2. ^{{Cite web|url=https://raachotrekkers.com/lamkhaga-pass-trek-in-the-footsteps-of-marco-pallis-raacho-trekkers/|title=Lamkhaga pass trek blog|last=|first=|date=|website=Raacho Trekkers|archive-url=|archive-date=|dead-url=|access-date=}} 3. ^{{Cite web|url=http://vikasbengani.blogspot.in/2015/06/lamkhaga-pass-trek-himalayan-adventure.html?|title=Lamkhaga Pass Trek - The Himalayan Adventure Saga|website=vikasbengani.blogspot.in|access-date=2018-01-19}} 2 : Mountain passes of Himachal Pradesh|Mountain passes of Uttarakhand |
