She was a minor consort of fourth rank (myosa mibaya) Mindon Min and the queen mother of the Konbaung dynasty's last king, Thibaw Min. Among her other children included 3 daughters, the Mong Kung Princess, Pakhangyi Princess, Meiktila Princess.[1] She was of Shan extraction, being a descendant of a daughter of the Sawbwa of Thibaw (Hsipaw).[2] As Queen Dowager she enjoyed some power and a White House was built for her residence. She died in 1881, that is, three years after the accession of her son. Family
