Club careerYouth careerGalton started as a junior at Knaresborough Celtic before a spell at Harrogate Railway. She impressed local Leeds United coaches who recruited her for the academy where she rose through the youth ranks to the senior team. She scored her first senior goal for the team on 12 September 2010, aged 16, in a 4–1 League Cup group stage win against Newcastle United Ladies.[3] In 2012, she won the Ian Taylor Memorial Trophy, awarded to the most deserving young footballer playing within the Harrogate and District FA.[4] CollegeIn 2012, she earned a four-year scholarship to play collegiality for Hofstra Pride in America. Her 48 career goals is the second-highest total in program history. She is also the only three-time winner of the Colonial Athletic Association player of the year award and was a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist in her senior year.[5] Sky Blue FCGalton was drafted by Sky Blue FC in the second round of the 2016 NWSL College Draft.[6][7][8] She scored her first goal for the club during her second appearance, an equalizer that helped Sky Blue to a 1–1 draw against the Chicago Red Stars.[9] Bayern MunichOn 22 December 2017, she signed with German club Bayern Munich in the Frauen-Bundesliga.[10] However, three months later she stated that she would be taking a break from playing professionally.[11] Manchester UnitedOn 13 July 2018, it was announced that Galton was joining Manchester United for their inaugural season.[12] On 13 December 2018, she scored her first goal for the club in a 3–0 win over Everton in the FA WSL Cup.[13] She scored her first league goal on 31 March 2019 in a 5–1 win over fellow title challengers Tottenham Hotspur.[14] InternationalGalton has been capped internationally for England at U15, U17 and U19 level,[15] and was part of the squad for the 2011 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship.
