A new series of five shorts debuted on May 4, with the second season premiering airing on June 17, 2017;[2] the series' final episode aired on August 16, 2017. {{TOC limit|3}}OverviewSet between Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, The Freemaker Adventures centers on a family of three young siblings — young boy Rowan, his sister Kordi, and their brother Zander — known as the Freemakers, who salvage parts from destroyed or damaged ships in order to build new ones, which they sell to make a living in their shop aboard a space station known as the Wheel. They are accompanied by their salvaged battle droid R0-GR. The family soon become enmeshed in the battle between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance when Rowan discovers part of an ancient artifact known as the Kyber Saber. He then becomes aware of his own connection to the Force and meets a mysterious Force-wielder named Naare before embarking on a journey with his siblings that leads them to meet with new and old Lego faces from the Star Wars universe. He is then greeted by Naare, who explains that the Kyber Saber is the first lightsaber and was broken and scattered in order to keep its vast powers out of evil hands. The pair then work together to rescue Kordi and Zander from the Imperials, and Naare accompanies the Freemakers back to the Wheel where she uses the Force to get Furlac off their back for the time being before he can throw them out for not paying their rent while also renting a shop on the station for her own use. Roger's antics of clumsily fiddling with the complex controls of the StarScavenger sends himself, Luke and Rowan into hyperspace. Estoc and her command of Stormtroopers follow them, but when they miss the incinerator, they throw Leia and their trash into it, convincing Estoc for the time being. ("That's not the first time I've escaped through a garbage chute." Leia comments after getting herself out.) Luke opens the doors and deactivates the hyperdrive, which sends the StarScavenger headed towards Felucia. His masterly landings and the revelation that he is a Jedi is enough to make Rowan ecstatic for questions. Roger, however, is disgruntled by this, even after he is consumed and spit out by a fly trap. Back on the wheel, Leia, Kordi and Zander are on the run from the stormtroopers and Zander uses a probe droid to fling canisters at the stormtroopers while the girls take the elevator to the upper ring with the help of Leia's House of Organa card. There, after devouring a tray load of hors d'oeuvres from a protocol droid, Kordi finds herself in the penthouse of Mr. Cooper and uses a plant pot to pass her off as a droid disguise. Meanwhile, Naare lands the Eclipse Fighter at the Senate Rotunda on Coruscant where she rendezvous with Palpatine and Darth Vader in his office and is questioned relentlessly about the Kyber Saber crystals in the form of a pop quiz. On Felucia, Luke uses the Force to repair a bulkhead on the StarScavenger and Rowan notices a unique type of flower blooming every time the Force comes within range of the buds. Roger regrets to inform the two force-sensitive humans that an acklay is in possession of the ship's hyperdrive generator. After a discriminating joke by Mr. Cooper that reminds her too much of the tragic day that saw her adoptive parents and fellow Alderaanians killed by the Death Star, Leia drop kicks the nobleman out of his penthouse allowing Kordi to reveal herself. But this only causes Mr. Cooper, after discovering the real cleaning droids arrive, to alert the Stormtroopers. On Felucia, later that night, Luke levitates the generator out of the pit while the acklay is sleeping it off, but it awakens and the loud roar sends Rowan into the pit with him. Only does hitting the acklay with a duo of rocks, thanks to Luke, sends the three running from the enraged leviathan. On the Wheel, Kordi and Leia hide in a diner and the princess saves Kordi from being arrested. Zander arrives in time to save the women via Mr. Cooper's speeder bike. Rowan, inspired by Luke's words of the Force acting as a natural order, uses flowers to lure the acklay away from the nest while Roger obtains the hyperdrive. He is soon swallowed for the third time by a fly trap and this only tests his patience. With a Y-wing decoy intentionally destroyed by two TIE fighters, Kordi and Zander convince Estoc otherwise that Leia forced them to co-operate and she submits, celebrating her victory with the Stormtroopers. Roger, Rowan and Luke return, but without a proper ship, they use one of Zander's Z-wings to leave. Sometime later, Naare returns as well, frustrated with her quiz and Rowan presents her with a flower that immediately wilts. Rowan briefly ponders surrendering to Naare in exchange for his family's safety, but instead tricks her with an ice crystal that melts when Naare attempts to form the Kyber Saber, enabling the Freemakers to escape with the real one. Arriving on the Wheel, he engages Naare in a full-on duel while the freed Kordi and Zander battle Graballa and his bounty hunters; though he performs well, Naare overpowers him and learns that Roger knows the location of the last crystal. The Emperor then attacks with a force of walkers and fighters only for Naare to dispatch them easily, who declares herself Empress and then drops a load of civilians off a ledge when they refuse to acknowledge her. Rowan is then able to use his ability to call to the Kyber Saber Crystals to tear the saber apart and out of Naare's grasp, and reforms the Saber in order to face Naare in a final showdown. After overcoming her, Rowan contemplates using its power to take revenge on her and is encouraged by the Emperor, but rejects the Sith Lord's offer and departs with his siblings and Roger's head.
