It blooms between July and November producing white-pink flowers.[3] The shrub has a dense habit with small olive green leaves and is commonly used as an ornamental, windbreak, shelter or screening plant in gardens.[1] TaxonomyThe species was first formally described by the botanist Johannes Conrad Schauer in 1844 in Lehmann's Myrtaceae.
