Letitia Harriet "Tish" Frizzell Erb (January 19, 1895 - January 17, 1978) was a chamber of commerce executive and postmaster of Lewiston, Idaho. BiographyLetitia Harriet "Tish" Frizzell was born in Wapello, Iowa, on January 19, 1895, the daughter of F.M. Frizzell.[1] She moved to Idaho in 1903 and lived at Lewiston, Idaho. She married Fred Charles Erb (1894-1937).[1] She was the secretary of the Lewiston Commercial Club. She was interested in Chamber of Commerce work and community building problems; at one time she was engaged in daily newspaper work.[1] She was a member of the Lewiston Business and Professional Women's Club.[1] In 1938 Erb moved to Washington, D.C., to serve as clerk of the House Irrigation and Reclamation Committee, headed by Representative White. In at least one occasion, Erb subbed for White at a hearing before the House Merchant Marine and Fisheries Committee which was considering a bill to authorize the appropriation of $500,000 for fish hatchery facilities on the Columbia River and its tributaries. After the hearing, Chairman Bland complimented her on her "fine presentation".[2] In the census of 1940 she is living with her sister, Anna M. Pinch, and this latter husband, William E. Pinch.[3] In April 28, 1949, she was named postmaster of Lewiston, Idaho, replacing C.J. Breier, Jr.[4] She died on January 17, 1978, and is buried at Normal Hill Cemetery, Lewiston.
