He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.[1] PersonalSchluter was born on 11 January 1999.[2] He works at as groundsman at the Kawana Waters Aquatic Centre.[2] SwimmingSchluter took up swimming at the age of 10.[3] At the 2015, INAS Global Games, he won gold medals in the Men's 400m Freestyle and Men's 1500m Freestyle and silver medals in Men's 4 × 100 m Freestyle Relay and 4 × 200 m Freestyle Relay.[2][3] After the Global Games, he shifted focus to shorter swimming events due to the Rio Paralympics program.[2] At the 2016 Australian Swimming Championships, he competed in eight events and won the gold medal in the Men's 400m freestyle, silver in the Men's 200m freestyle and Men's 4x50m freestyle relay.[2] Schluter is coached by Michael Sage at the Kawana Waters Swimming Club.[3][4] Schluter competed at the 2016 Rio Paralympics in four events and progressed to the finals in two events. He placed seventh in the Men's 200m Individual Medley SM14 and fifth in Men's 200m Freestyle S14.
