It runs southwest from the South Circular at Catford, going through Sydenham, Norwood and Crystal Palace before heading south to Croydon. It then turns east to terminate at the A2022 road in Forestdale.[1] The junction with the A214 at Crystal Palace is the meeting point of four London Boroughs – Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth and Southwark. The Vicar's Oak, a tree which stood here from the 16th century was once the traditional marker of this boundary.[2] {{Portal|Roads}}References1. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=A212 |title=Route : Catford - Addington |date=26 July 2012 |work= |publisher=The Society for All British and Irish Road Enthusiasts |accessdate=23 March 2013}} {{UK primary routes 2}}{{coord |51|24|54|N|0|4|59|W|type:landmark_region:GB_scale:50000|display=title}}{{DEFAULTSORT:2-0212}}{{London-road-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.norwoodsociety.co.uk/review/thevicarsoak.shtml |title=Norwood and the Vicar’s Oak |last1=Galer |first1=Allan M. |last2= |first2= |date=27 February 2008 |work=Norwood and Dulwich, Past and Present |publisher=The Norwood Society |accessdate=23 March 2013 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120416044653/http://www.norwoodsociety.co.uk/review/thevicarsoak.shtml |archivedate=16 April 2012 }} 4 : Roads in England|Streets in the London Borough of Croydon|Streets in the London Borough of Lewisham|Streets in the London Borough of Southwark |
