}}Lillie Mae, born Lillie Mae Rische, is an American country musician.[1]

Career

Lillie Mae Rische toured with her family as a teenager and young adult. In 2008, she recorded with her three siblings in the group Jypsi, which had a Top 40 hit on Hot Country Songs with "I Don't Love You Like That".[2]

In 2013, Lillie Mae appears in several spots in the filmed concert "Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of Inside Llewyn Davis".[3] Lillie Mae sang and played violin on "Did You Hear John Hurt?" & "We're Going to Be Friends" alongside Jack White.[4]

In 2014, Lillie Mae released her first solo song titled "Nobody's".[5] Three years later, Lillie Mae released her first full-length album titled Forever and Then Some on Third Man Records.[6][7] The album was produced by Jack White.[8][9]

Lillie Mae has performed as a solo artist on both Conan[10] and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.[11]

In 2017, she performed in the multi-award-winning documentary The American Epic Sessions. In this musical feature, she played both fiddle and mandolin alongside Jack White, Dominic Davis, and Fats Kaplin as part of the backing band for artists such as Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, Taj Mahal, Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, and Ana Gabriel.

She played fiddle and provided background vocals on Time Flies, a 2018 album by Jim Lauderdale.
