词条 | Limitarianism (Christianity) |
释义 |
Christian theological limitarianism teaches that Christ's atonement applies only to the elect (as Calvinism), and not to all humanity (as Christian universalism taught), or of limited atonement and irresistible grace as St. Augustine had taught, later associated with classic Calvinism. Reformed theologian, pastor, and author R.C. Sproul suggests there is confusion about what the doctrine of limited atonement actually teaches. While he considers it possible for a person to believe four points without believing the fifth, he claims that a person who really understands the other four points must believe in limited atonement because of what Martin Luther called a resistless logic.[1] References1. ^{{Citation | last = Sproul | first = RC | title = The Truth of the Cross | publisher = Reformation Trust | year = 2007 | ISBN = 978-1-56769-087-3 | pages = 140–42}}. 5 : Theology articles needing expert attention|Protestant theology|Christian soteriology|Christianity WikiProjects|Christian denominations |
