It was formed in the years following a riot at the Bullers Arms, which necessitated local police. It was amalgamated with Cornwall Constabulary in 1877. It only ever had two officers, Inspector Humphreys and Constable Spry.[1][2] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.british-police-history.uk/show_nav.cgi?force=cornwall&tab=3&page=overview&nav=year|accessdate=25 August 2017}} {{Policing in Cornwall}}{{cornwall-org-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.devon-cornwall.police.uk/your-right-to-information/our-people/our-history/force-areas/cornwall/liskeard-borough-police-1836-1877/|accessdate=25 August 2017}} 7 : Defunct police forces of the United Kingdom|1853 establishments in England|Organisations based in Cornwall|Crime in Cornwall|History of Cornwall|1877 disestablishments in the United Kingdom|Liskeard |
