Based on the novel Aakhari Poratam, written by Yandamuri Veerendranath, the film stars Sridevi and Akkineni Nagarjuna in the lead roles. Suhasini, Amrish Puri and Chandra Mohan are featured in supporting roles. The film was a box office success as well as critically acclaimed. The film was premiered at the 12th International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section.[1] PlotThe story is about CBI officer Pravallika (Sridevi) trying to expose the illegal activities of a notorious criminal Anantananda Swamy (Amrish Puri).
