Club careerOwona was born in Douala, and made his senior debut with AS Matelots in 2005. After spells at AS Cetef de Bonabéri and Les Astres FC,[1] he agreed to a contract with Paris Saint-Germain on 10 September 2009.[2] After only appearing for PSG's B-team in Championnat de France amateur, Owona moved to Spain and joined Real Oviedo Vetusta on 31 January 2011.[3] Although he did not play with the side due to bureaucratic problems, he was still promoted to the first team in Segunda División B on 28 May.[4] After leaving Oviedo, Owona continued to appear in the third level but also in Tercera División in the following years, representing SD Noja,[5] Arroyo CP, CF Villanovense (two stints)[6][7] and Caudal Deportivo.[8] In 2015, while representing Villanovense, he suffered racial abuse from the supporters of Real Betis B.[9] On 17 January 2017, Owona signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Segunda División side AD Alcorcón.[10] He made his professional debut the following day, starting in a 0–2 Copa del Rey home loss against Deportivo Alavés.[11] Owona scored his first professional goal on 19 February 2017, netting the first in a 1–1 home draw against Real Zaragoza.[12] On 22 July he terminated his contract,[13] and signed a three-year deal with fellow second tier club UD Almería just hours later.[14] International careerAfter representing Cameroon at under-20 level, Owona was included in Hugo Broos's preliminary 30-man squad for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup on 20 May 2017;[15] nine days later, he was included in the final 23-man list.[16] After failing to appear during the whole tournament, Owona made his full international debut on 13 June 2017, starting in a 0–4 friendly loss against Colombia.[17] References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.psgmag.net/1785-Presentation-d-Owona-Ndong-recrue.html|title=Présentation d’Owona Ndong, recrue du PSG ?|trans-title=Presentation of Owona-Ndong, addition of PSG?|publisher=PSG Mag|language=fr|date=10 September 2009|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.goal.com/en/news/90/french-football/2009/09/10/1493083/paris-saint-germain-sign-young-cameroonian-player-lucien|title=Paris Saint-Germain Sign Young Cameroonian Player Lucien Owona Ndong|publisher=Goal.com|date=10 September 2009|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.rtpa.es/deportes:Pascual,-jugador-del-Vetusta,-se-incorpora-a-la-primera-plantilla-del-Real-Oviedo_111296507116.html|title=Pascual, jugador del Vetusta, se incorpora a la primera plantilla del Real Oviedo|trans-title=Pascual, Vetusta player, joins the first team of Real Oviedo|publisher=RTPA|language=es|date=31 January 2011|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.lne.es/deportes/2011/05/28/owona-primer-fichaje/1081371.html|title=Owona es el primer fichaje|trans-title=Owona is the first signing|publisher=La Nueva España|language=es|date=28 May 2011|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.lne.es/deportes/2013/08/23/owona-jugara-marruecos-ficha-noja/1459337.html|title=Owona, que no jugará en Marruecos, ficha por el Noja cántabro|trans-title=Owona, who will not play in Morocco, signs for Cantabrian Noja|publisher=La Nueva España|language=es|date=23 August 2013|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.villanovense.es/web20/llega-owona-como-regalo-de-reyes/|title=Llega Owona como regalo de Reyes|trans-title=Owona arrives as the gift of the Magi|publisher=CF Villanovense|language=es|date=6 January 2016|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=http://caudaldeportivo.es/2015/10/02/owona-nuevo-jugador-del-caudal-deportivo/|title="Owona" Nuevo jugador del Caudal Deportivo|trans-title="Owona" new player of Caudal Deportivo|publisher=Caudal Deportivo|language=es|date=2 October 2015|accessdate=18 January 2017}} 9.
