HistoryLuci (lantern) was invented by Jason Alan Snyder,[9] who co-founded MPOWERD the manufacturer of Luci. The device consists of an inflatable LED lantern rechargeable by solar light.[10][11] The lantern charges 6 hours of sunlight and is able to provide 6 to 12 hours of light.[12] The company also provided numerous lanterns for relief efforts in Puerto Rico, Mexico, southeast Asia, and various other countries.[13][14] In November 2017, The Builders Fund LP acquired a part of MPOWERD.[15] Models
