The Lyahmayer House ({{lang-rus|Дом Ляхмаер|r=Dom Lyahmayer}}) is an edifice in the Kirovsky District of Rostov-on-Don, Russia. The house is located at 60/1 Ulyanovskaya street ({{lang-ru|Ульяновская улица, 60/1}}) at the intersection of Voroshilovsky avenue and Ulyanovskaya street. It was a revenue house.[1] The building is also considered to be an object of cultural heritage.[2] HistoryThe Lyahmayer House was built at the end of the 19th century. The first owner was Yekaterina Petrovna Lyahmayer. Also the land parcel belonged to her at Kankrinskaya street. In July 1900 the sanitary committee acknowledged the weakness sanitary-hygienic conditions at the Lyahmayer House. The committee decided to close the revenue house and to settle housemates. However the occupants were not rehoused. Accommodations were cleaned. House's owner Yekaterina Lyahmayer got a fine at the rate of 15.4 rubles. The annual return on this revenue house was estimated at 1030 rubles. Lyahmayer's confidant lawyer Chernikov sold 30,000 rubles to a landlady Anna Jashchenkova. She, in turn, remortgaged the house to Chernikov and merchant Tokarev. Chernikov became the owner of the Lyahmayer House in the 1910. Resolution of the Rostov Oblast Administration of October 9, 1998 № 411 the house was designated a regional Heritage Site.[3] DescriptionThe three-storey building was designed in the end of the 19th century. Architecture of the building employs baroque and classic elements of decoration. The facade is decorated with attic and banded rustications with smooth-faced "V" joints and vermiculated square blocks. Second-floor rectangular windows are crowned with Labels.
