CareerMazumdar was the commanding officer of East Pakistan Regiment Centre at the start of Bangladesh Liberation War.[2] He was arrested and charged with treason by the Pakistan Army during the war.[3] He was tortured in custody.[4] Mazumdar after retiring from Bangladesh Army joined the Jatiya Party.
