Early lifeMarc went to Oak Harbor High School and Robinson Secondary School before studying at Virginia Tech. CareerSports Producing and Sports InnovationsMarc started his sports career as a video assistant with the Virginia Tech football team in 1993. Marc then moved to freelance work from 1995-1998 with Creative Sports. He began working at ESPN in 1998 working on College Gameday for ESPN. Marc then went on to being a producer on SportsCenter, which won two Emmy awards during his tenure in 2002 and 2003. Marc later became a coordinating producer on Mike & Mike in the Morning on ESPNews and ESPN2. Marc was also part of the team which won additional Emmy's for College Gameday in 2010 and 2011 In 2009, Marc moved into ESPN's Production Enhancements team and worked on the first-ever augmented reality driven virtual playbook which won an Emmy in 2009.[2] In 2010, his team won a Media Vanguard award from AdAge for virtual and augmented reality production.[3] In 2015, as the then Director of Production Enhancements, Marc's team was nominated for another Emmy for their invention and introduction of the Football Pylon Camera.[4][5] The Pylon Camera changed the outcome of three College Football games and two NFL games in its first year of use.[6] Marc retired from ESPN in 2017 to return to being an entrepreneur. EntrepreneurHe started his first business in 1995 with an internet design company, however it never took off. After leaving ESPN as Director of Production Enhancement in 2017, Marc created the Tachyon League.[7] Tachyon League is a hybrid live-and-augmented reality arena sport. Marc then went on to build out the technology for the league by founding Live CGI[8] and the Quinstream player.[9] Awards and Honors
