Marianne Jakmides Dyson is a writer of non-fiction books, mostly for children, about space science.

She grew up in Canton, Ohio, lives in Houston and has worked for NASA.

Her book Space Station Science: Life in Free Fall was a Golden Kite Award winner in the year 2000. Her book "Home on the Moon: Living on a Space Frontier" won the American Institute of Physics Science Communications Award in 2004. [1][2] The first book she coauthored with Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Welcome to Mars: Making a Home on the Red Planet, was named a Best STEM book by the National Science Teachers Association.
