Bentley House is a historic house in Red Cloud, Nebraska. It was built in 1883 by J. Brubaker, a carpenter.[2] Author Willa Cather took inspiration from the house for her 1915 novel, The Song of the Lark, in which she describes Duke Block.[2] The house was designed in the Gothic Revival architectural style.[2] It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since August 11, 1982.[1] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|version=2013a}} {{National Register of Historic Places}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Bentley, Matthew R., House}} {{Nebraska-NRHP-stub}}2. ^1 2 {{cite web|url={{NRHP url|id=82004927}}|title=Willa Cather Thematic Group: Sites in Webster County, Nebraska-Inventory: Matthew R.
