词条 Mec Art
释义

  1. References

{{short description|20th-century art movement}}Mec Art (short for Mechanical Art) refers to a European style of artwork created through photo-mechanical transfers via silkscreen printing on to an emulsified surface.[1] The coinage of the term is disputed between a number of individuals, however French artist Alain Jacquet is frequently credited with its original use.[2]

In contrast with the use of mass-media source images common in American Pop Art, Mec Art frequently referenced canonical and classical European works including Impressionist and Old Master paintings.[3]
