Meff is a derogatory term used in north-west England, especially Liverpool. It is derived from the practice of hardened alcoholics drinking methylated spirits as they are untaxed and therefore cheaper.[1]References1. ^{{cite web|url=http://lingomash.com/slang-meanings/44044/slang-meaning-of-meff |title=What is the meaning of meff, what is the slang definition of meff, meff is slang for |publisher=Lingomash.com |date= |accessdate=2016-12-01}}
