}} Meganola varia is a species of moth in the family Nolidae (nolid moths), in the superfamily Noctuoidea (owlet moths and kin).[1][2][3] The species was described by William Barnes and Arthur Ward Lindsey in 1921. It is found in North America,[2] where it has been recorded from California through Arizona to western Texas. The wingspan is 26–32 mm. The general colour of the adults is dark grey to brownish grey, with a variable hoary irroration due to the white tips of some scales.[4] Adults are on wing from June to October.
