Early life and careerBallard lives in North Salt Lake. She has a B.S. and a Masters of Music from the University of Utah, and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music.[1] She served on the Advisory Board for Salt Lake CAP Head Start for six years.[2] Political careerBecky Edwards, the incumbent in Utah House district 20, did not seek re-election in 2018. Ballard won the Republican party nomination for the seat in a 3-way race in June 2018.[3] Ballard was elected to the Utah House in November 2018, defeating Democrat Ryan L.
