释义 |
The ground was also the training base and home ground for the National Women's team Capital Football who play in New Zealand’s highest level domestic competition, the National Women's League. It was the first ground in Wellington to have a fully floodlit training pitch which was established in 1979.[1] In 2012, Capital Football, New Zealand Football and Hutt City Council announced that Memorial Park would get an artificial pitch with the aim of making the ground the 'Home of Football' for the Wellington Region.[3] Work was started on Tuesday 23 October 2012[4] and was official opened on 25th May 2013 by Lower Hutt Mayor Ray Wallace, New Zealand Football chairman Frank van Hattum, Capital Football chief executive Richard Reid and Petone Football club chairman Craig Deadman.[5] References1. ^1 {{cite web|title=About Petone|url=http://www.petonefootball.org/the-club/about-petone|website=Petone FC}} {{Coord|-41.2238345|174.8943302|region:NZ-MWT|display=title}}{{NZL fb stadia}}{{NewZealand-sports-venue-stub}}2. ^{{cite web|title=Capital Football About Us|url=http://www.capitalfootball.org.nz/about-us/contact-us/|website=Capital Football}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Memorial Park Artificial Gets Sign Off|url=http://www.petonefootball.org/docs/news/2012/petone_memorial_park_artificial_gets_sign_off-2012-05-30.pdf|website=Petone Football|accessdate=30 May 2012}} 4. ^{{cite web|title=Petone Memorial Park Artificial Pitch Project|url=http://www.petonefootball.org/the-club/artificial-pitch|website=Artificial Pitch|accessdate=2 November 2012}} 5. ^{{cite web|title=New artificial turf opened in Wellington|url=http://www.petonefootball.org/news/174-new-artificial-turf-opened-in-wellington|website=Petone FC|accessdate=29 May 2013}} 2 : Association football venues in New Zealand|Sports venues in Wellington |
