Its shares are listed on the AIM (alternative investment market) section of the London Stock Exchange. The Executive Chairman, Christopher W Egleton, joined the company in 1995. Duncan Wilson, former chief executive of Direct Holidays,[1] has served as Managing Director since 2009. Its subsidiaries include Stewart Travel. In May 2017, the group acquired Morningside Travel, which was placed into a division also containing Cruise Kings, Scotland’s Cruise Centre, Golf Kings and Ski Kings.[2] Minoan Group made a gross profit of £4m in the year ending April 2017.[3] Itanos Gaia projectIn 1991, Minoan applied for a permit to build a luxury hotel resort on the Cavo Sidero peninsula on the north-eastern coast of Crete. Approval for a 7,000-bed development was given in 2007, but was revoked in 2010.[4] Permission for a reduced 2,000-bed development was eventually granted, twenty-five years after the initial application, by the Greek government and the Greek president Prokopis Pavlopoulos, being announced on 11 March 2016.
