His father is a medical doctor and he spent his childhood with his large family in Diourbel.[1] He studied at the militar prytaneion of Saint-Louis and later on in France at the Lycée Pierre-d'Ailly of Compiègne and at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS).
