Muhammad Najeeb Naqi Khan is a Kashmiri politician and the current Minister for Finance and Health of Pakistan-administered Azad Jammu & Kashmir. He became a minister on 7 August 2016. He belongs to the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.

Political career

Dr Najeeb Naqi entered politics in 1990, following the death of his father in a car accident. He has been elected as the member of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly five times (1991, 1996, 2006, 2011, 2016) from the Pallandri constituency and was a member of the Kashmir Council from 2001–2006.

1991–1996: Member, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Served as Parliamentary Secretary P&D and Health in the Muslim Conference-led government of Mohammad Abdul Qayyum Khan^[1]
1996–2001: Member, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. In opposition; Member of the Public Accounts Committee^[1]
2001–2006: Member, Kashmir Council^[1]
2006–2011: Member, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. Served as Minister for Health & Education (Colleges & Universities) & IT in Muslim Conference government^[1]
2011–2016: Member, Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly. In opposition; Member of the Public Accounts Committee^[1]
