As of 2018, Mumtalakat held stakes in over 60 enterprises in 14 countries with US$15.4 billion worth of assets.[2] Mumtalakat invests in non-oil and gas related assets across different sectors including education, aviation, healthcare, consumer, financial services, industrial manufacturing, real estate, tourism, and logistics[3]. Mumtalakat pursues investments in Europe the United States,and the Middle East and North Africa, seeking minority or majority stakes in its portfolio companies[4].
