Critical receptionIn a review, Bollywood Hungama wrote, "Can we ever find fault in Arijit singing (Can we ever?), this song would go in the playlist of Arijit Singh's ardent fans."[1] In its review, Livemint considers the opening stanza of the song, also called 'mukhda' in Hindi, as "Devotional", they wrote: "There is a lovely chord-change where the soft percussions kick in. This part really makes the song. It has a sublime, lingering quality that grows on you."[2] Koimoi in its review, highlighted the shortness of the song but acclaimed the singing of Arijit Singh and the composition by Pritam.
