Designed by Charles Percier, Pierre François Léonard Fontaine and made by Martin-Guillaume Biennais, the tureen was given to Napoleon I by his sister Pauline and her husband, Prince Camillo Borghese. The tureen was later donated to the Met as part of the bequest of Joseph Pulitzer.[1] References1. ^{{Cite web|url=https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/197467?searchField=All&sortBy=relevance&ao=on&ft=Napoleon&offset=80&rpp=20&pos=81|title=metmuseum.org|website=www.metmuseum.org|access-date=2018-09-19}} {{Met-stub}} 1 : Metalwork of the Metropolitan Museum of Art |
