Landman attended Monte Vista High School in Danville, California where he was a three sport athlete.[3] Early lifeLandman was born on November 19, 1998 in Harare, Zimbabwe while his father, Shaun was playing international rugby. Upon returning to the United States Landman's family settled in Danville, California. Where he attended Monte Vista High School and played baseball, rugby and football. Landman played wide receiver as well as linebacker earning accolades from both. Throughout his four years playing varsity Landman amassed over 1,000 yards receiving and over 160 tackles, 15 sacks and 4 interceptions. In his senior year Landman led Monte Vista in a state playoffs run. In his final season Landman earned East Bay Athletic League MVP, All-NorCal High School Football Team and East Bay Defensive Player of the Year by MaxPreps and the San Jose Times respectively. He was also named to all district and state teams his final two seasons. Landman was ranked as the 5th best linebacker and 57th best player in California by ESPN. In his college debut vs Texas State Landman recorded a tackle for loss. Later that year against the Utah Utes Landman had six tackles as well as a forced fumble in a starting role.[9] Landman came into the 2018 Colorado football season as a starter, in his first game of 2018 he had a career high 16 tackle performance[10] and also had an interception against in state rival Colorado State Rams.[11] Landman would continue his strong start with a 13 tackle game along with another interception vs the Nebraska Cornhuskers on national television. In his first two games Landman had amassed 29 tackles and two interceptions[12] as Colorado was of two an undefeated 2-0 start.[13][14] Landman continued this success finishing with 104 total tackles 64 of which were solo, 4 sacks and two interceptions.
